Serbian President Aleksandar Vui speaks from Verona, where he discussed all current issues, following his meeting today with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
He said that the meeting with Giorgia Meloni was basically good and that he expects it before the end of the year in Belgrade.
“Italy considers Serbia a reliable and stable ally and friend, small but important in the Balkans, territorially and demographically,” Vui emphasized.
“Previously we had an unemployment problem and now we have to hire workers from outside,” he said.
“It will not be easy for those who are not in the open Balkans, as conditions there become more and more favorable. People will no longer have to queue when traveling to Greece and vice versa – when they go to Greece. Belgrade,” he said.
He informed that there are fewer and fewer poor people in Serbia and the average salary is around 740-750 euros.

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama was also present at the meeting.
Vui and Meloni met at the International Wine Fair, VinItaly, held in Verona. Before this meeting, the two men spoke by telephone on Sunday.

Vui visited the joint stand of Open Balkans, where he spoke with exhibitors and attended the presentation of the Open Balkans offer.
After the meeting, the President of Serbia posted on his Instagram profile:

Serbia and the Balkan region can be proud of their wine industry, and that is why it is very important that our wines are presented today at one of the largest wine fairs in Europe.
