AEGEAN announces its new “2023/2024 Winter Program” and offers increased options to passengers
9 new routes and 3 new countries are added to the winter schedule, while 7 summer routes continue to operate for the first time this winter

AEGEAN has just announced the new “Winter Flight Program 2023/24” through which it offers more options to passengers, with 18 new routes to 14 countries (compared to last year’s winter program) , while expanding its operations in the Middle East, North Africa and the Balkans. and Europe.
It now allows all passengers from Athens to explore new destinations, such as Dubai (United Arab Emirates), Luxor and Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt, Innsbruck (Austria), Bratislava (Slovakia), Baku (Azerbaijan), Chisinau (Moldova), while it offers for the first time the possibility for passengers from Thessaloniki to fly directly to Cairo.
AEGEAN also maintains specific routes from Athens to Bristol and Birmingham, Malaga, Bilbao, Tallinn, Riga, Tunisia and Barcelona from Thessaloniki which started in the previous summer months, supporting the expansion of the tourist season, while simultaneously increasing frequency to important, well-known tourist destinations. destinations by adding a second daily flight from Athens to Frankfurt.
The new winter program aims to continually offer new options to travelers, but also to offer more attractive seasonal destinations for the “non-summer” period (such as Sharm El Sheikh, Luxor, Innsbruck) after the successful experience of flights to Marrakech in previous winter season.
At the same time, the company contributes to “year-round tourism” by maintaining regular flights from/to Rhodes, Heraklion and Kalamata until November, while starting a new summer season at the beginning of March 2024. In the same direction, AEGEAN operates charter flights from Rhodes, as part of a special program implemented in cooperation with foreign tour operators, offering 35,000 available seats, to 22 European destinations in 8 countries, between October – December 2023 and February – May 2024.
AEGEAN’s new and improved winter program continues the very strong 9 months of 2023, as evidenced by the latest passenger traffic data. More specifically, AEGEAN transported more than 11.9 million passengers between January and September 2023 (7.1 million on the international network), an increase of 30% compared to the same period last year. The company’s results were also positive in the 3rd (third) quarter of the year, compared to the same quarter of 2022 (having already recorded strong performance) as it transported 5.3 million passengers with a very balanced as much domestic passenger traffic by 17%. and international passenger traffic by 18%.
In total, during the first 9 months of the year, passenger traffic on AEGEAN’s international network to and from Athens Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” increased by 38%, while for the same period , the increase in international passenger traffic at Thessaloniki “Makedonia” Airport exceeded 45%. % compared to the previous year.
