For the new 2023/24 winter schedule, AEGEAN offers increased passenger options with 18 new routes to 14 different countries, while expanding its global presence in the Middle East, North Africa, the Balkans and Europe.

New destinations such as Dubai, Luxor, Sharm el-Sheikh, Innsbruck, Bratislava, Baku and Chisinau are confirmed by the expansion efforts of the Greek carrier.

Generally seasonal routes, AEGEAN will continue its services to Bristol, Birmingham, Malaga, Bilbao, Tallinn, Riga, Tunisia and Barcelona.

Additionally, a second daily flight will be added to Frankfurt from Athens.

True to their principle of offering year-round tourism, regular flights to and from Rhodes, Heraklion and Kalamata will continue until November, and are expected to resume in March 2024.

As mentioned, the reasoning behind this is due to the airline’s increased passenger numbers compared to last year, as you can see via the table below:

Adding to this was Deputy Commercial Director of Network and Revenue of AEGEAN, Ms. P. Stamatis:

“Building on the successful growth momentum of the past 18 months, we continue to offer our passengers new travel options and experiences, investing in expanding our network with new destinations during the winter season.”

“At the same time, we continue to invest in the potential of Athens and Thessaloniki airports, while gradually developing special programs and partnerships to mitigate seasonality in the region.”

“In addition, we are announcing the new direct flight to and from Athens-Dubai, as well as the second daily flight to Frankfurt Airport from Athens, to further strengthen the connectivity of our network with international aviation hubs, under the umbrella of our important new and established partnerships.”

It remains clear that things are going very well for AEGEAN, and in the future all eyes will be on them to see to what extent they can also perfect the tourism aspect throughout the year.
