The British version of the iconic reality series »Big brother», launched 23 years ago, should return to ITV will be screened on October 8. Chinese director Gu Xiaogang and Indonesian director Mouly Surya have been named recipients of the 2023 award Kurosawa–Akira Prize. This prestigious award was relaunched by the Tokyo International Film Festival last year after 14 years of remission and was introduced to Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu and Fukada Koji. Gu has only directed one film to date, the acclaimed 2019 “Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains.” “We award this award in recognition of his unique talent and in the hope that he will make a substantial contribution to film culture in the future,” the awards committee said.
