Blindspot Technologies raises 1.4 million euros to improve DDoS protection

You only have a minute? Here are 3 key takeaways from the article:

  • Czech cybersecurity startup Blindspot Technologies, specializing in advanced DDoS protection, raises 1.4M.
  • The tour is led by Presto VenturesDamir Spoljaric and his Gi21 fund, and the IT company Prozeta.
  • Blindspot Technologies’ solution allows for rapid implementation made possible by its cloud-based technology and design.

According to a Markets and markets report, the DDoS attack protection and mitigation market is expected to witness significant growth from $3.9 billion in 2022 to $3.9 billion in 2022. $7.3 billion by 2027.

Created this year, the Czech cybersecurity startup has developed a solution specialized in providing comprehensive DDoS protection, as well as advanced web application and API security, tailored to the B2B segment.

As the company explains, the solution can be deployed in two basic modes: either it constantly cleans traffic, or it cleans it on demand at the time of an attack.

Blindspot CEO and Founder David Cermak has over 20 years of experience and deep expertise in network infrastructure, data center management and cybersecurity. As he explains: “Resilience against cyber threats depends not only on relentless research and development, but also on collaboration and partnerships among industry experts.”

“As the number, volume and complexity of cyberattacks continue to grow, fueled in part by state-sponsored attacks on critical infrastructure, our aspiration is to become the world’s leading provider of DDoS protection services,” he said. Cermak said in a statement.

The company plans to use the funds to scale up operations and enter new markets that are proving increasingly vulnerable to cyberattacks, such as Southeast Asia, as business and economic dependence local awareness of digital technologies is increasing rapidly.

For Presto Ventures, as threats evolve, so must the approach to cybersecurity.

“Blindspot revolutionizes protection by introducing an invisible layer of defense, leveraging the power of cloud infrastructure and network capabilities. What excites us most is the ease of deployment, which enables immediate response to threats, coupled with invaluable insights. Blindspot addresses an untapped market, where major players often overlook these crucial features that customers need,” said Eduard Kucera, Partner at Presto Ventures.

According to investor Damir Spoljaric of Gi21fund, the future of cybersecurity lies in the cloud.

“It’s no different when it comes to internet connection speeds. Very few companies are willing to pay for huge amounts of capacity they don’t need. This is why the future of cybersecurity solutions lies in the cloud, which in effect means that the fight against an attack takes place “elsewhere” and the customer is not affected. As attacks increase, so does Blindspot, which adapts to current security threats in terms of capacity and attack detection,” Spoljaric said in a statement.
