Croatian IT company Infinity recently announced the opening of offices in neighboring Montenegro, aiming to bring new employment opportunities to Western Balkan countries.
Founded in 2005, Infinium specializes in software design and development. The company has a team of 350 specialists and develops premium digital solutions for mobile and web for global clients, ranging from venture-backed startups to established companies across different industry sectors.
With continued growth of over 20% over the past two years, Infinim is now looking to expand and invest in the IT sector. community in the Western Balkans. The company’s first stop is Montenegro, where Infinim plans to invest more than 3 million euros over the next two years.
“Montenegro is not a big market, but we concluded that there were a lot of quality people, which motivated us to open an office. We bring new job opportunities, 16 years of know-how, experienced developers, a structured workflow and a strong customer portfolio to Montenegro,” the company told The Recursive in a statement.
Montenegro on the path to digital innovation
Since Montenegro has great talent potential and the IT scene is just starting to develop, the company is also planning to create its Infinium Academy, a free development and design course for students, and start cooperation with universities in Montenegro in the future.
The startup from the small coastal Balkan country ecosystem is still in its early stages. There are dozens of tech startups, most funded by foreign investors.
Currently, Montenegrin authorities are also working on manufacturing changes in the legislature that would benefit startups. Companies across the country are also starting to look for new financing models, including venture capital and other types of investment funds, that could help them boost their businesses.
“It is an ideal environment for young engineers to grow and gain experience working with companies such as Philips, Porsche, Royal Caribbean, KPMG and others,” added Infinum Managing Director Mladen Rakonjac .
Infinium managed to reach over 350 people in 16 years, developed its own SaaS product Productive and turned it into a business, launched a joint venture with Porsche Digital and opened two new offices this year.
“Our goal is to create successful businesses and products and grow through acquisitions. We want to grow, expand into new markets, acquire businesses and invest in interesting businesses,” the company told The Recursive.
The Western Balkans stand out
