EU takes rare action against Kosovo for failing to lower tension

The 27-member bloc has reduced high-level visits, contacts and financial cooperation with the Balkan country, a rare move against Kosovo from a key ally. The reversible measures are “gradual and carry financial and political consequences,” EU spokesperson Peter Stano said on Wednesday.
