European migration: Macron, Scholz, Orban and Sunak fight at the top in Spain

The European Union’s long-standing failure to agree on how to manage migration threatens to disrupt the rest of its activities.

At a summit in Granada, Spain, French President Emmanuel Macron and that of Italy Giorgia Meloni sparked a diplomatic row when they agreed to an impromptu meeting on the issue with Rishi Sunak from the United Kingdom.
