Fajon highlights the need to protect the EU’s external borders

Vienna, September 27 – At a meeting of Central 5 (C5), an informal political group bringing together Austria, Czechia, Hungary, Slovakia and Slovenia, on Wednesday in Vienna, Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon stressed that the EU must protect its external borders if the Schengen area is to be preserved. Ministers agreed that the EU must be united in the fight against illegal immigration.
