Latest war in Ukraine: Russia plans to encircle the city in a ‘third wave’; Putin ‘could provoke another war in Europe’ | World News

An exiled Belarusian activist has presented the International Criminal Court with a second dossier of evidence that he says proves the president’s involvement in the illegal transfer of children to Belarus from Russian-occupied towns in Ukraine.

Pavel Latushka, Belarus’ former culture minister, said some of the new information about Alexander Lukashenko came from “insiders” in Belarus.

“We share additional evidence proving Lukashenko’s direct participation in the illegal expulsion of Ukrainian children to Belarus as the leader of the so-called Union State of Belarus and Russia,” Latushka said to the Associated Press outside The Hague.

The file also includes “previously unknown evidence and facts regarding the involvement of various Belarusian and Russian organizations, as well as their leaders and members, in the illegal expulsion of Ukrainian children to Belarus,” he said. -he declares.

Mr. Latushka said the information included personal information on 37 Ukrainian children illegally transferred from Ukraine to Belarus.

In June, Mr Latushka provided the court with information that more than 2,100 Ukrainian children from at least 15 Russian-occupied Ukrainian towns had been forcibly taken to Belarus with Mr Lukashenko’s approval.

The Belarusian president dismissed Mr Latushka’s accusations as “madness”, arguing that Belarus had temporarily sheltered the children to help them recover from the trauma of war.

The ICC is investigating crimes committed in Ukraine.
