Montenegro, Slovenia and France to create cyber capacity center in Western Balkans

October 17 (VoirNews) – The Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazovic, said that his country had signed an agreement with Slovenia and France to establish a cyber capacity center in the Western Balkans (WB3C).

The WB3C hub will be based in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro, Abazovic said in a Facebook post after signing the document on the sidelines of the Berlin Process summit in Tirana, Albania, on Monday.

The agreement creates the necessary conditions for strengthening cybersecurity in the Western Balkan countries, improving and developing cooperation between all regional actors in the fight against these threats, and creating a regional hub which will encourage advanced and relevant programs and curricula. training, the Montenegrin government said last week.

The Western Balkans Cyber ​​Capacity Center will have the legal status of an international organization, which will have three founding members, while the other Western Balkan countries will have the status of members.
