Norwalk welcomes a delegation of Balkan companies

Doni Fruits, the largest whole foods company in the Balkans, will travel to Norwalk today to meet with city officials and local produce companies such as Loffredo Fresh Produce, Capital City Fruit and Middlebrook Farm to discuss commercial opportunities. “We are excited to welcome another fantastic delegation from our partner country of Kosovo,” Hollie Zajicek, Norwalk’s economic development director, said in a press release. “Norwalk has an official sister city designation with Vushtrri, Kosovo, and we enjoy participating in economic development initiatives between Iowa and the Republic of Kosovo.” Doni Fruits, wholesaler and retailer of fruits, vegetables and dried fruits, already has a presence in 30 countries around the world. “As a company committed to continued growth within the sector, we aim to establish connections with industry experts, agricultural organizations and potential partners in the United States,” said Ejup Ahmeti, President and CEO of Doni Fruits, in a prepared statement.
