Saudi citizens can now enter Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro without a visa

Saudi citizens can now enter three Balkan countries until the end of this year without the need for a visa. These countries are Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro.

In a Twitter post on April 20, the Saudi Embassy in Albania also revealed that citizens of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar and Thailand can enter Albania and Kosovo without a visa for the period from April 20, 2023 to December 31, 2023. and Montenegro until October 31 VisaGuide.World reports.

Based on the listed conditions for visiting Montenegro, Saudi citizens must travel with a tourist group and not alone. At the same time, the embassy stressed that they should arrive in the country with a direct flight from the Kingdom.

Furthermore, the Saudis must show proof of payment of accommodation feesa return ticket to the Kingdom and also a letter of invitation from a tourist office in Montenegro which organizes the trip.

While to travel to North Macedonia, another Balkan country, Saudis have the option to enter if they have a Schengen visa, an American visa, a British visa or an Australian visa , provided it is multi-input, valid and already in use.

Meanwhile, foreign citizens holding a ten-year residence permit issued by the competent authority of the UAE, valid for at least one year from entry, have the opportunity to enter the country.

Previously, the Japanese Embassy in Riyadh announced that Citizens and residents of Saudi Arabia can now apply for an electronic tourist visa for Japan.

The same authority said that citizens residing in Saudi Arabia have the right to submit an application for a Japanese tourist visa online, valid for a period of three months from the date of issue.

Additionally, Saudi citizens should be aware that if a visa fee is applied, depending on their nationality, they must go to the Japanese embassy or consulate general to pay the fee in cash.

According to VisaGuide Passport Index, the Saudi passport is ranked 110th in the world in terms of passport strength as of March 2023. This means that currently, Saudi citizens can travel visa-free to 46 countries around the world. As with other countries, Saudi passport holders must apply for a visa in advance.

However, to travel visa-free, Saudi nationals must still be in possession of a valid passport – usually six months after the departure date – and travel health insurance as required by the destination country to which a person wishes to travel.
