Turkey and the Balkans deepen ties with first-ever tourism fair

The first Balkan tourism fair was held from September 20 to 22 in Istanbul. The fair aims to promote good relations in the region, and organizers believe a great holiday is the way to go. As one of the most visited cities in the world, especially for Balkan vacationers, Istanbul is set to become the leading hub for tourism promotion between Turkey and the Balkan countries. Thanks to their shared culture, gastronomy and geographic proximity, millions of people make the trip in both directions each year. And officials are optimistic about what lies ahead. Across The Balkans, hosted by Nafisa Latic, is TRT World’s program that focuses specifically on the issues and fault lines shaping Southeast Europe today.
