Western Balkan heads of state call for rapid approval of their European Union membership applications | Ap

SKOPJE, North Macedonia (AP) — Heads of state from six Western Balkan countries seeking to join the European Union met Monday in North Macedonia and urged the bloc to speed up its enlargement process, saying that this would contribute to regional stability.

A joint statement by the presidents of Serbia, Kosovo, Bosnia, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Albania said the EU and the Western Balkans “should be ready for enlargement, as soon as possible, but no later than 2030.
