The Western Balkans Investment Summit 2022 will be held at the EBRD headquarters in London on Monday 28 February. The event will bring together the six heads of government of the region, who have confirmed their participation.

The aim of the summit is to highlight potential investment and business opportunities in the Western Balkans region and to promote regional and cross-border projects. This is the fifth EBRD summit of its kind; the inauguration Western Balkans Summit took place at the EBRD in February 2014 and brought together for the first time all the prime ministers of the region.

The Western Balkans are a priority region for the EBRD. Today, the EBRD remains one of the largest institutional investors in countries in the region, with €15 billion invested to date.

The traditional culmination of the summit – the “Interactive Prime Ministers Session” – will see the six leaders and the EBRD President address the audience with their overall vision for the region, their key regional projects and their investment opportunities in regional level and in each country. countries in the region, which includes Albania, Bosnia Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia And Serbia. The session will feature extended Q&A with foreign investors.

Due to the global pandemic, this year’s Summit will be organized under special arrangements in a hybrid format. In addition to strict social distancing and other necessary safety measures in place at EBRD headquarters, we will need to limit physical presence to Prime Ministers and their delegations, while investors will join online and be able to ask their questions directly to the Prime Minister. ministers.
