We are pleased to announce the release of the second volume of our What worries young people in the countries targeted by enlargement: Human rights and youth in the Western Balkans and Turkey report.
As part of our EUTH 2021 program aimed at supporting young people’s skills in research, policy writing and advocacy, seven activists and youth leaders from the region have compiled articles each describing a human rights topic man having an impact on their respective communities. On Thursday 28 January, together with MEP Irena Joveva (Slovenia) from Renew Europe, we organized an online roundtable giving the authors the opportunity to present their findings to members of the European Commission, the European Parliament, local CSOs, as well as members of permanent missions. to the EU from the Western Balkans.
Despite an attempted interruption, the event concluded successfully, attracting over 60 participants and ending with encouraging words of support and solidarity for human rights activists from MEP Joveva.

Necdet Üstündağ (Turkey): Administrators of local authorities appointed by the government in Turkey: the (non-)application of the right to vote and to be elected
