World Investment Report | UNCTAD

The World Investment Report focuses on foreign direct investment (FDI) trends globally, regionally and nationally and on emerging measures to improve its contribution to development.

It also provides analysis of global value chains and the operations of multinational enterprises, with particular attention to their development implications.

Previews of the report are available in all official UN languages.

Each issue of the report contains:

  • Analysis of FDI trends over the previous year, with particular emphasis on development implications.

  • Ranking of the world’s largest transnational corporations.

  • In-depth analysis of a selected IDE-related topic.

  • Policy analysis and recommendations.

  • Statistical annex with data on FDI flows and stocks at the national level.
