Zagreb has been announced as the third best capital city destination in Europe to visit as a tourist, just behind Amsterdam and Rome.
A new research by VisaGuide.Worldhas ranked Zagreb as the third best capital in Europe to travel to for tourism purposes in 2023, based on the factors tourists value most when choosing a place to visit.

“Language is also not a problem in Zagreb, as Croatia does even better in this area, ranked 11th in the world.“, says the study, highlighting the fact that among the capitals that ranked in the top ten, only the Dutch speak English better than the Croatians.
Additionally, Zagreb also scores well on security, meaning it has a very low crime rate and low risks of terrorist activities, internal conflicts, political instability, natural disasters, etc. .
The city is well known for its rich history, art and architecture. It is home to around a million residents, and in 2021 alone it welcomed 634 million tourists.
